Step-by-Step: How to Apply for DGCA Pilot Examinations

Step 1 — Log in to the Pariksha Portal

Go to pariksha.dgca.gov.in. Log in with your Computer Number and password.
First-time users: click “Register” and set up your account using your registered email and mobile number.

Step 2 — Verify Your Profile

Before applying, check that your profile shows:

  • Correct name, date of birth, and category (CPL/ATPL)
  • Updated photo and signature
  • Valid contact details

Profile errors can cause admit card issues or exam centre mismatches.

Step 3 — Select “Apply for Examination”

In your dashboard, click Apply for Examination → Select Exam Session. DGCA conducts 4 regular exam sessions per year (roughly one per quarter). Choose the open session.

Step 4 — Choose Your DGCA Exam Subjects

Select the subjects you want to attempt in that session.
You can attempt multiple DGCA CPL exam subjects in a single session.

Step 5 — Select Your Exam Centre

Available DGCA pilot exam centres include: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Guwahati

Step 6 — Pay the DGCA Exam Fee

Pay securely via UPI, net banking, or debit/credit card on the Pariksha portal. On successful payment, download and save your payment receipt immediately.

Step 7 — Download Your DGCA Admit Card

Admit cards are released 7–10 days before the exam date. Go to: Dashboard → Admit Card. Download, print, and verify: your name, subject list, exam date, and centre address.

Step 8 — Appear for the DGCA Pilot Exam

On exam day, carry:

  • Printed admit card
  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • No mobile phones or electronic devices inside the exam hall

Step 9 — Check Your DGCA Exam Results

Results are published on pariksha.dgca.gov.in under Dashboard → Results. Download your scorecard. A score of 70% or above in each subject is a pass.

DGCA Pilot Examinations Session Types: Regular vs OLODE

Session TypeFrequencyBest For
Regular Session4 times/yearAll subjects, all candidates
OLODE (Online On-Demand)As notified by DGCAOne subject per notified session, re-attempt candidates

OLODE sessions are useful if you’ve cleared most subjects and need to re-attempt just one paper, without waiting for the next regular session.

Common Mistakes to Avoid in DGCA Pilot Examinations Registration

  • Applying too late: preferred exam centres fill within days of a session opening
  • Wrong subject selection: double-check subject codes before payment
  • Profile errors: name or DOB mismatch causes admit card issues
  • Not checking email/SMS: DGCA sends important updates and roll numbers there
  • Missing original ID on exam day: you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without it

It's the best aviation academy for pilot training. I enrolled a few months ago, and I can proudly vouch that no other academy teaches a correct attitude of learning and development. FMS not only focuses on concept clearance but also CRM skills and discusses Aircraft Accident Investigations to understand the roles and responsibilities of airline pilots at a very initial stage.
