What is the eGCA Portal?

The eGCA (e-Governance for Civil Aviation) portal is a one-stop shop of DGCA. It replaced old, manual paper-driven processes. Every pilot and engineer in India must have an eGCA ID.

Key services include:

  • Applying for Class 1 and Class 2 medicals.

  • Registering for DGCA pilot exams.

  • Tracking flight training and logbook updates.

  • Renewing or issuing Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL).

  • Drone regulatory services

You log in via the official DGCA eGCA login page. The portal supports many aviation user types and now uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) for security.

Documents Needed for eGCA Registration

Before you start, keep these digital files ready. Ensure they are clear and under the size limit. Poor scans often lead to application rejection.

1. Proof of Identity (Choose One)

  • Aadhaar Card (Front and Back)

  • Valid Indian Passport

  • Voter ID or PAN Card

  • Driving License

2. Proof of Address

  • Passport or Aadhaar Card

  • Latest Utility Bills (Electricity or Water)

  • Rent Agreement (if applicable)

3. Essential Uploads

  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo with a white background.

  • Signature: Scan your signature on plain white paper.

  • 10th Marksheet: This is mandatory for age and name verification.

Step-by-Step eGCA Registration Guide (2025)

Follow these steps to create your account without errors.

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal

Go to the official DGCA eGCA website. Avoid fake links or unofficial portals.

Step 2: Choose Your User Type

Click on “Sign Up” or “New User Registration.” Most students should select the “Aspirant” category.

If you already have a PMR or license, select “Pilot.”

Step 3: Fill in Personal Details

Enter your name exactly as it appears on your 10th Marksheet. Name mismatches are the main cause of login issues.

Step 4: Upload Your Documents

Attach the files you prepared earlier. Ensure the file formats are PDF or JPG as required.

Step 5: Verify with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

As of July 2025, DGCA has added MFA security. You will receive two separate OTPs. One goes to your mobile number and one to your email. Enter both to verify your identity.

Step 6: Submit and Receive eGCA ID

Review your form one last time. Click submit. Your unique eGCA ID will be sent to your registered email.

How to Login to eGCA Safely

  • Visit the eGCA Login page.

  • Enter your eGCA ID and your secret password.

  • Complete the Captcha verification.

  • Provide the MFA OTP sent to your phone.

  • You are now logged into your dashboard.

Common eGCA Login Issues & Fixes

  • OTP Not Received: Ensure correct mobile/email. Check your spam folder or wait 5 minutes. Use a stable network.

  • Account Locked: This happens after too many wrong attempts. Contact egcasupport@dgca.nic.in.

  • Browser Error: Always use the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
