DGCA Pariksha: Complete Guide to India's Official Pilot Exam Portal (2026)

If you’re on the path to a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or any DGCA flight crew examination in India, there’s one platform you’ll use from day one: the DGCA Pariksha portal.

Everything lives here: your computer number, exam applications, admit card, and results.

Miss a step or upload a wrong document, and your application gets rejected, sometimes costing you an entire exam cycle.

This guide walks you through every step, in plain language, so you don’t lose time.

DGCA Pariksha
DGCA Pariksha Portal: Everything You Need to Know

What Is the DGCA Pariksha Portal?

The DGCA Pariksha portal is used for all examinations conducted by the Central Examination Organisation (CEO) for both AME and Flight Crew.

It was designed to bring transparency to the examination process, remove paper-based applications, provide faster communication via email and SMS/WhatsApp, and ensure uniformity in document submissions. All Flight Crew Licence (FCL) exams are conducted online through this portal.

In short, the e-Pariksha DGCA portal is the only official system for:

  • Registering as a flight crew candidate
  • Getting your DGCA Computer Number
  • Applying for CPL, PPL, and ATPL theory exams
  • Downloading your DGCA Pariksha admit card
  • Checking your DGCA Pariksha result

Who Needs to Register on the DGCA Pariksha Portal?

  • PPL (Private Pilot Licence) exams
  • CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) ground theory exams
  • ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) exams
  • AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) exams
  • Foreign licence conversion candidates

Without a Computer Number, you cannot:

Common Mistakes to Avoid on the DGCA Pariksha Portal

Many candidates lose weeks due to avoidable errors. Watch out for these:

  • Name mismatch: Your name must match your Class 10 certificate exactly, including spelling
  • Oversized documents: Files that exceed the portal’s size limit get auto-rejected
  • Using a shared email or phone number: Each candidate must use a unique email and mobile number
  • Waiting too long to apply: Exam centres fill fast; apply the day the session opens
  • Selecting the wrong subject codes: Double-check your subject selection before payment
  • Not downloading the admit card in advance: Don’t wait until the exam day morning
  • Late payment: Don’t pay on the last day; portal sync issues can cause your application to fail
  • Partially rejected candidates can apply again through the “Candidate Login” tab in the Registration Module.

DGCA Pariksha for ATPL: What's Different?

If you’re a CPL holder looking to appear for the ATPL exams, the process on the DGCA Pariksha portal is the same. You use the same login credentials and Computer Number. The key difference is the subject set and the experience requirements.

ATPL subjects are more advanced and include additional papers on Human Performance and Principles of Flight. You must also meet DGCA’s minimum flight hour requirements before applying for ATPL.

It's the best aviation academy for pilot training. I enrolled a few months ago, and I can proudly vouch that no other academy teaches a correct attitude of learning and development. FMS not only focuses on concept clearance but also CRM skills and discusses Aircraft Accident Investigations to understand the roles and responsibilities of airline pilots at a very initial stage.
